Unite has been involved with a few key projects with Affinity Credit Union. In November 2014 Unite collaborated on Affinity Business-for-Good Social Venture Challenge campaign. We worked with Affinity’s community development and marketing team (web, social, traditional) in articulating key objectives (e.g. defining success, key metrics), target audience analysis, and a strategy to get there. Our teams worked collaboratively in developing key messaging, and defining timelines. Next phase was working with the 3 finalists in developing their crowdfunding strategies, stories, videos, Indiegogo pages, perks, and key messaging, including clear call to action.

Overall the campaign was an astounding success in many ways, even winning two national awards. First, all organizations involved generated great momentum and engagement, reaching out to their base of supporters to vote by dollars. Second, Saskatoon overwhelmingly supporting social enterprises in the form of crowdfunding demonstrates we are fertile and ready for supporting and inspiring social and environmental good through business, in this digital age.

Affinity engaged Unite in October 2013 for the initial research and development around key messages during their co-op week marketing efforts.

We developed a series of infographics that relayed information on co-ops, banking locally, eating locally, and buying locally. The goal was to educate members and the general public of the importance of these messages.

Additionally, Affinity engaged Unite to develop a series of videos titled “Partners Who Build a Better World” showcasing member organizations that have been having a tremendous positive impact on their communities.

The videos highlight how Affinity partnered with theses members to help their organizations grow and thrive!  This was an on-going project in 2014.
